Our story
The Founder
DehDeh Films Production was born from a deep desire to tell female-led stories. The founder, Sepideh Yadegar
Studied film at Emily Carr University of Art + Design and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2019. Her short films “Asal” and “From” have travelled through national and international film festivals, including but not limited to the 2021 Vancouver Women International Film Festival, Vancouver Short Film Festival, finalist at the Oregon Documentary Film Festival, Mosaic Film Festival, Anatolia International Film Festival, 18th in the Palace Film Festival and many more. Sepideh is the recipient of the Canada Council and BC Arts Council grants. She was selected as one of the five female filmmakers for the Whistler Film Festival Women in Focus program in 2022. Sepideh’s debut feature film, One Must Wash Eyes, won the best Canadian Feature at RIFFA, was nominated for the BC LEO Awards and will be screened at the 2024 Calgary International Film Festival.
Our Producers
DehDeh Films' recent project, One Must Wash Eyes, was created with the tremendous work of our production team. Sepideh Yadegar and Amanda Konkin produced the film. Our co-producers are Jaclyn Guse and Alyssa Kistello. Our associate producers are Tina Marie McCulloch, Valentin Moulias, Scott Phelan, Rana Shemirani, and Mandy Mehrghorbani.
Our Team
The production's first feature, One Must Wash Eyes, is an ultra-low-budget film that was only possible due to dedicated collaborators.
